Q: Where is my nearest testing site?

A: To find your nearest testing site, select your region here. There, you will find a list of updated testing sites in Illinois.

Q: Can my child be tested for COVID-19?

A: Everyone can be tested for the COVID-19 virus. Individuals under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and be able to provide consent.

Q: What are some common COVID-19 symptoms?

A: COVID-19 can present itself differently from person to person. Some may experience:

  • Fever

  • Cough

  • Runny nose

  • Shortness of breath

  • Chest pain

  • Loss of sense of smell or taste

  • Severe fatigue that is not typical or normal

  • Diarrhea

Some individuals may not show any symptoms and still can transfer the virus.

Q: What should I do if I develop symptoms of COVID-19?

A: If you develop any symptoms consistent with COVID-19:

  • Start isolation and take other precautions

  • Contact your healthcare provider so they can better assess your symptoms and evaluate whether testing is right for you.

Q: What populations are at increased risk for severe illness?

A: Those with increased risk of severe illness are:

  • Older adults

  • People with preexisting conditions (cancer, kidney disease, COPD, heart disease, immunocompromised individuals) for a complete list, visit cdc.org

TESTING

Q: Who should get tested for COVID-19?

A: Community-based and mobile testing sites are free and open to all regardless of symptoms​.If you have been or believe you have been recently exposed, , it is encouraged that you get tested.

Q: How long does it take to receive my results?

A: You will receive a call within 4 to 7 calendar days. Please make sure your phone number is correct on consent form.

Q: I haven't received my results. What should I do?

A: You should receive a call within 7 days. If it has been more than 7 days, please contact the Illinois COVID-19 hotline at 1-888-297-7208.
